Two Awards for Asia Center Publications

Two books published in 2016 by the Asia Center press were recognized last week by the Association for Asian Studies. Foong Ping’s The Efficacious Landscape: On the Authorities of Painting at the Northern Song Court won the 2017 Joseph Levenson Pre-1900 Book Prize, awarded for the best scholarly nonfiction book on China published in 2016. Publications Program: New Titles

The Asia Center Publications Program is on track to publish about 15 new titles in 2016 plus three new paperbacks. Five of the new titles and the three paperbacks are scheduled for Fall publication.
